At CAUR, we take waste and make it beautiful.
Placing value on sustainability and style, we transform excess materials into what we call ‘excessories’ - treasured objects that tell unique stories, whilst minimising our impact on the environment.
In the skilled hands of our artisans, what was once destined for landfill is instead expertly crafted into exquisite collections of home décor, leather goods and jewellery.

CAUR was created by Parminder Pal Singh and Sukhvinder Singh, brothers and co-founders of renowned design businesses Loco Design and Cuir Inde. Recognising how precious the world’s limited natural resources are, they were driven to tackle the issue of waste within the design industry, starting with the output of their own businesses.
Parminder and Sukhvinder had long-explored how they could build a more harmonious relationship with the environment without diluting the quality of their products. Through collaboration with designer Harpreet Padam, whose creative practice aligned with their own, they found a way to make this a reality.

At CAUR, we have created an ecosystem of efficiency, where sustainability is prioritised at every stage of our process, beginning with the use of materials from Cuir Inde’s factories, that would previously have been discarded.
Designs take into consideration the availability of excess leather, metal and wood, and limit the use of any additional materials. Making and crafting is carried out by Cuir Inde’s crafting teams, as they work on their own products, to limit the expending of energy. And our process has been integrated into Cuir Inde’s manufacturing facilities, to limit transport and fuel use.

At the forefront of designer Harpreet Padam’s mind, is our relationship with nature and the built environment. When designing CAUR’s inaugural collection of statement jewellery, he took the unique qualities of the salvaged materials as a practical starting point and turned to the world around us for aesthetic inspiration. From microscopic cell formations to vast landscapes carved by rivers, from exquisite art deco detailing to grand architectural structures, the designs play homage to the astonishing patterns and structures created by mother nature and humankind.
